I LOVE Eat. This is probably my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor - which is saying a lot because Ann Arbor has a great food scene. I've tried so many things on the menu, and only had one thing which I wasn't absolutely crazy about. The sweet potato salad is delicious - super flavorful (I think with tahini); spaetzle is also a great side choice. Their sandwiches are flavorful and better than Zingerman's in my opinion--I particularly like the roasted asparagus sandwich and the cubano--oh and the bacon harissa sandwich! The roasted vegetable salad is simple and tasty--with perfect roasted veggies and goat cheese. The chocolate coconut macaroons are amazing - the perfect way to end every meal. Their tomato jam is also incredible--sweet, tangy and wonderful on toast and goat cheese. There isn't a ton of space to eat inside - but you can call ahead to carry out. In the summer, the outside tables are a great place to eat and get some sunshine. In short, I love this place! I highly recommend it. The people who work there are also wonderful- so friendly and pleasant.

Outstanding! If you are traveling on business and need dinner. You are alone or with a small sales team, GO EAT HERE. This will go on my personal top ten. Save room for the blueberry pie. Had some of my buddy's pot roast and it was even better. And the service was great.

I love the concept, I don't love the execution. Two and a half stars but rounding up to three since this review is based off only one eating experience. The interior is small and welcoming with only one 4-top table and then about 4 bar seats at the window. I don't mind this but what I did mind was the self-entitled guy who sat at the giant table while we squished in at the window. That is not the restaurant's fault but it still irks me. I wonder if there's a better way to streamline a kind of "temporary eatery space" which accommodates more people. The service was not great. Short and stern. And the dudes doing food prep in the back were making some questionable comments to the NPR show playing in the background. Just felt a little too "this is our too-hip-for-you world and you're just eating in it" for my liking. The food. I was so excited about its potential. We ordered the pork confit sandwich and the risotto. Luckily, for 12 bucks you get your money's worth for the risotto portions. It was GIGANTIC. The sandwich was pretty generous, too. Unfortunately the food was so heavy, fatty, and oily that it completely destroyed my stomach. I love me some rich comfort food but this was really intense. It overwhelmed any other flavors or textures. I may try one of their 'lighter' dishes in the future to avoid the dripping-with-oil experience because I'd like to give them another chance. But it is really hard to convince myself to go back (and spend so much money).

What a delicious hidden gem on Packard Road. Fresh food, interesting seasonal menu and great service. The dining area is very small and intimate, only sitting 4-5 at the window bar and a 4 top "picnic" type table. I've ordered several meals to-go with nary a hiccup. All around consistently good food.

Great eclectic menu options: at least 10 things not listed on their regular menu. Noticed last minute an unusual flavor of homemade ice cream, pie, desserts, as well as salad dressings and side menu options. Wish I got the eggplant sandwich instead of the tempeh. Everything was fresh and delicious and those criticizing this place to be 'too cool' are likely Applebee-type chain lovers.

A unique local treasure discovered during our visit to Ann Arbor. Delicious food, friendly staff. Highly recommended for something a little out of the ordinary.

I've eaten food from here three times in the past two months, and I highly recommend it. Now, is this a five-star restaurant in the absolute sense? No. But in the category of "convenient, reliable, creative, tasty alternative take-out"? Absolutely! Part of their menu is constant with some things constantly changing. Today's eggplant parmesan was perfectly cooked (nice al dente eggplant; not that mushy goo you find so often) with a generous serving of spaghetti and greens. Huge meal for $13. Can't beat that. Friendly, welcoming service. I'm sold. Don't expect to eat there, though. This is a take-out place.

My friend took me to EAT for lunch today, I couldn't believe we lived so close to EAT and hadn't been there so far.I had the Sloppy Youssef and my friend got the grilled eggplant sandwhich both were amazing ! The staff were very sweet. I only wish the place was slightly bigger and had more seating.

eat has become a Valentine's Day tradition for my husband and me. eat offers a special 5 course Valentine's Day menu for takeout. The whole thing was carefully and lovingly packaged, the Pot de Creme dessert even came in its own mason jar, and I was presented with a pink rose as a finishing flourish. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers, salad, and entrees. I had the "surf and turf" combination of flank steak and shrimp, while my husband had the veggie eggplant purses filled with goat cheese. There was so much food we saved the Italian Wedding soup for lunch the next day. Paired with a nice wine of our choosing, minus the exorbitant restaurant mark up, this made for a very cozy dinner at home. And only two plates to wash when we were through. Thank you, eat!

It's an awesome place and I can't believe I didn't come to have a try earlier!!! We had Korean BBQ sandwich, pork confit sandwich and trouter. They are delicious and the right size!!! I love this place and I wish they have more in house sitting space. I will definitely come back and recommend it to my friends.

I have yet to go to Eat and be disappointed. What a hidden gem! Their buttermilk biscuit chicken sandwich was amzing as well as their cinnamon ice cream oatmeal currant sandwich-holy crap people- Go to this place! You will be happy, very happy.

I'd been to their Marks Cart location and decided to try their shop on Packard. The food was o.k. but the service was not great. The soup was a little bland - needed pepper and the sandwich I had was small for the price. After finishing my lunch I was asked if I wanted my check whick I ackowledged I did but I was them summoned to the cash register as the hostess had people standing there waiting to give their order. I was surprized that she rang me up right away while making other customers wait. I went up and paid my bill but found the ending rather akward to a decent lunch. I was considering asking about catering for my wedding next year but after this experience I can tell you I will be looking elsewhere.

pot roast is something your poor cook of a mother would throw together, bland, under-portioned/over priced your far far better off with a McCormick pot roast spice bag, no joke the eggplant sandwich my wife liked, i thought it was cloudy piece of hipster sensibilities that don't include taste... no thanks To the owner mccormick.com/products/s… put it to the test and be honest with yourself, alas this being ann arbor and with the bar set so very low, most of you reading this will not probably find fault, until you leave this culinary black hole with few exceptions

Had one slider (sloppy something). Was very good, but $4.24 for this tiny mini burger??? Waay overpriced. Especially considering it's out of downtown in the middle of nowhere along Packard.

Let me start by saying that planning a wedding from across the country is almost impossible but choosing Eat as our caterer was easy and probably the best decision we could have made. My husband and I hired Helen Harding and the Eat staff to cater our wedding in October of 2012 and we were beyond pleased from beginning to end. Helen and her partner, head chef Blake Reetz were extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to planning a wedding and they essentially led us through each and every step that we needed to complete in order to make the day a success. Helen was easy to communicate with and helped us figure out the menu and details of the day essentially all over the phone and in emails. When it came to the big day their service remained flawless. It was freezing out at about 50 degrees but they managed to keep the food warm and our guest well fed and with drinks in their hands. My favorite part of the meal was the handmade butternut squash ravioli that Blake created especially for us and the most delicious roasted vegetables I have ever had. Being vegetarians, Helen and Blake were able to accommodate to our needs and made a mostly vegetarian menu for us, we also had cider braised pork for the meat-eaters, which they also loved. I honestly cannot say enough great things about Eat catering and Helen and Blake for that matter, so if you are interested in supporting a local business founded by a couple of true Michiganders that use organic and locally sourced food, choose Eat, they will not disappoint!

eat is a cute, cozy little place that I would recommend for take-out, rather than trying to eat in the cramped entryway. The food is excellent and the quantities are quite generous. Unfortunately, the menu is small and the food is a bit too expensive for what it is. It's also a pain to park, whether at the two spaces in front or the small lot at the back of the building.

fresh food...and oh so tasty!! love EAT yum yum yum!!!!!

Eat is like a hip, semi-upscale-ish Portland restaurant hidden in an Ann Arbor take-out place's body. The food is reliably delicious and always made from high-quality (often local) ingredients. The menu rotates depending on what's in season but I tend to gravitate towards the baked mac & cheese (pretty much always available) and a few of the soups that show up now and then. The servings are pretty generous, I usually end up having the second half for lunch the next day (but then, I'm a smallish person.) The cookies and pudding are very tasty... I've heard good things about the pies and tarts but I'm not much of a pie girl so I haven't tried them. The building itself has a few seats inside and a few more outside when the weather is nice. Service has always been friendly but it can get pretty busy during peak take-out hours, so it's probably a good idea to call ahead - the food takes slightly longer than most take out places because they're actually, you know, cooking it to order. Doesn't take any longer than a hip, semi-upscale Portland restaurant though. (They also cater- haven't had it, but some of the stuff on the catering menu sounds really tasty. I'd love to try some of the savory tarts, if they ever end up in the storefront. Hint hint. )

I've eaten in many large cities and found this very good. Beans and greens plus pork confit are big enough for a meal and only five bucks, an amazing bargain! Just add salt if it seems bland. Food quality is very good. And we all loved the pot roast.

My wife, baby and I have had take-out from Eat several times and we've always enjoyed the food. Today we dined in and enjoyed some sloppy yusufs and a few sides. The tahini-sweet potatoes were tasty and I enjoyed the 'side of beans and greens.' We had it with the pork confit (well worth the extra dollar) but at some point I'd like to try it without. Next time I'll have to try the grilled tempeh, I've been meaning to eat more vegetarian cuisine. Oh, and we had some 'double chocolate' cookies, it was a great dollar dessert! The take-out service is good, and the food is packaged well; everything we've had has arrived at home hot. The interior is small but clean and hip-looking. We had a party of five (counting the baby) and found the one table to be comfortable for us. The cashier served us the plates and brought us utensils, a nice bit of unanticipated service! There are also three window seats for those that would like to sit on stools.

Eat is a refreshing takeout option on the east side of town. The dishes are elevated but still simple and accessible. I've only tried the sandwiches and sides, which are reasonably priced--the entrees can be a little steeper in price but look tasty. The Korean bbq beef sandwich is juicy and tasty, and the grilled eggplant sandwich has an addicting sweet tomato jam. I love that there are so many veggie options, especially among the side dishes. The roasted veggies are OK if you like the selection (potatoes, parsnips, beets, and carrots); I like the tahini sweet potato salad a little better. And there's still so much to try!

I eat at "Eat" at least once a week. They use lots of locally grown ingredients. It has the feel of healthy home made with an unpretentious gourmet flare. It's mostly take out, but there are three stools and 1 booth if you want to eat there. You can order online ahead so you don't have to wait when you get there. Some of my favorite menu items are the Roasted Vegetable salad, and the spring bacon sandwich and the carrot ginger soup. They also have pies, cookies. eatannarbor.com .

This place is quickly becoming my favorite place to eat in Ann arbor second only to Jerusalem Garden. The food is amazing and fast. Prices are a bit more than the average grab a sandwich for lunch place but are totally worth it. The food is high quality and prepared with extreme care. Beets are cooked to perfection and caramelized rich slow cooked goodness fills the menu. Also the staff are superb and the small dining area is cute and cozy. Come here.

Way underwhelming. Got takeout, tried three different dishes and all lacked that "it" factor. The whole menu has the feel of trying too hard, e.g. I got some kind of lamb sloppy joe doused in exotic spices. A regular old sloppy joe would have been much more satisfying. The "pudding," if you can call it that, was more like frosting or ganache. It's like they were trying to improve pudding by taking it up a notch, but it just failed. Better to just make a really good, simple pudding with a simpler approach and good ingredients. Service was not exactly cold, but certainly not warm, definitely a bit of a "too-cool-for-school" vibe. Portions are small for the price. My girlfriend is currently searching the kitchen to quote "find something to make up for that lunch."

Always good every time we stop by! I love the meatball sandwich and my partner always gets the Korean Barbeque sandwich. Both are huge and quite filling!

I love the bacon and harissa sandwich (and loved the bacon and beet even more -- hoping they bring it back in the fall!). My husband and I had the goal of eating at every restaurant in Washtenaw County during our residency and the first weekend we had dinner at eat. Our plan quickly changed. Our new tradition being that we now have dinner at eat pretty much every Friday. :)

Just ate at eat for the first time. Wow! Locally-sourced deliciousness. I think they stole some recipes from my grandmother... (expletive deleted), that was good!

I have visited EAT when they were part of Mark's Carts and remembered them being very good. Now that they are in there own location I think things are just going to get better. I made a quick stop in to find something for lunch on my way to the dentist. When I saw the entrees they were preparing for dinner my mouth started watering. I ordered some dinner for pick up later and it was a big hit at home. The roasted veggies and meat were tender and packed full of flavor. I will definitely be picking up dinner here again very soon!

Caveats: I only had takeout, and I only had it once. But it was super-tasty, and I'd go back there any time. I had the mushroom spaetzle with pork confit, and beans and greens. The spaetzle was delicious and not too heavy, and the beans and greens were bright and lemony and savory. We got at least 3 meals worth of food in one order, for a very reasonable price. I also love that they have a larder where you can buy things for your pantry, like preserved lemons and jam. I can imagine that it's not a particularly comfortable place to eat in, due to the very small space, but they are very efficient for take-out, so you might as well enjoy it in the comfort of your own home or on a picnic.

Wow, this was the best catering I've ever had. Tons of food, really tasty flavor, fresh veggies, able to work with multiple dietary needs. We'll definitely use them again for all our events in the future!

Drove past, saw sign... Got curious, searched yelp... Read a bunch of great reviews, came back... Ordered the Bacon Harissa sandwich... Had an epic experience! Seriously, stop in and give them a try. Small, fun little eating space which is meant more for carry-out, but who cares. Food and service were great. We'll be back!

Found this awesome recommendation on Yelp well looking for carry out in Ann Arbor this week. Found so many great reviews decided to try it out myself. I ordered the mac and cheese with Michigan sharp cheddar and parmesan. topped with toasted bread crumbs. It was awesome for mac and cheese, it is the baked typed. The second dish I tried was mushroom spaetzle which contains tiny german egg dumplings sautéed with caramelized onion and mushrooms. This was my favorite of the two and so many more items I would love to try on their menu but alas we are 4 hours away.

You gotta keep your eyes peeled for this place on Packard Ave. because if you blink you'll miss it. From the outside its small and not much to speak of. But I can assure you their food is far from that. They mostly do catering and carry out at this place, so there is limited seating inside. There is however extra parking in the back (if you don't see the sign like I didn't). To start, for the vegetarians out there this place is a heavenly oasis of fantastic fare. I'm an extreme carnivore but almost got the grilled eggplant sandwich when I came here because the person next to me had it and it smelled so good. Alas, couldn't save myself from future cardiovascular problems and got a cubano sandwich. The sandwich and fries came out piping hot. The fries are definitely "hand cut" and we're perfectly crispy all the way through. Highly recommend. The sandwich was pressed flat just as it should be. Cannot rant enough about how often that doesn't occur with cuban sandwiches. Bread on the outside toasty with soft inside. Jalapeños were fresh and spicy. And the pork is nearly indescribable. Tender and flaky. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. They also offer frozen dinners such as chicken pot pie and other rotating offerings if you want to eat at home. As far as prices go, it is a bit pricey ($3.50 for a side of fries) but I'll guarantee when you get the food from here you won't care. Overall: very hipster, very towney, very Ann Arbor, and fantastic. I will 100% be back again for that eggplant.

I went back and forth between four and five stars for a while here, and if I could've given 4.5 stars, I totally would've! As other reviewers have said, Eat is a rustic, hearty, non-pretentious carry-out joint. Sometimes at delicious restaurants, I feel awkward carrying out. I get the impression (however accurate doesn't really matter) that I'm being a nuisance by carrying out. Is this just a me thing? Well, regardless, Eat is all about the takeout, so I felt right at home. I called my order in, and they were knowledgeable about what was in their food. The staff on the phone even asked about sesame seeds - bonus! It was evident that she thought about everything I was ordering to make sure that I would be a-ok. Thanks, girlfriend! I ordered the Korean BBQ beef sandwich, the zatar fries, and the tahini sweet potato salad. The Korean BBQ beef sandwich was HUGE! Actually, there were super sizable portions of everything. The sandwich was decent. The beef's most prominent flavor was saltiness. I was hoping for a bit more flavor via sesame or sweet. The cucumber kimchi was yummy and added a refreshing crisp to the sandwich. Zatar fries were from actual potatoes. Fries from actual potatoes have made me consider going back to church (yes, that much of an experience). They could've used a bit more zatar, but I still demolished them. The BEST dish: the tahini sweet potato salad. I wanted to bathe in it. It was so, so good. All the flavors were bold but still harmonious. And so well prepared, too. All in all, well thought out, well executed carry-out food. I'll definitely be back. I have good feelings about root vegetable season at Eat given that sweet potato salad!

I only wish I tried this place earlier during my time in Ann Arbor. Fresh healthy food made with detailed care- fresh ingredients, flavorful dressings and spices in the right amount, good variety. I got the roasted vegetable salad ($7.50). The roasted veggies were cooked perfectly, and I especially loved how they used parsnips and an onion bulb. Love me some roasted veggies so much I got the side of tahini sweet potato salad. For $3.75 you get roasted sweet potato, scallions, and cilantro in a lemon-garlic tahini dressing. The dressing was delicious. This place is small and only has a counter and one table. Most people usually get take out. I came here with a friend on a sunny spring afternoon, and we were able to snag a spot at the only table. This place is away from the main campus on Packard, just south of East Stadium Blvd. As a result, you don't get the student crowd.

Outstanding food, but not cheap. You get what you pay for, and I really enjoyed the Sloppy Yusef sandwich - moroccan spiced ground lamb, but I wish there had been more of the raita cucumber yogurt sauce! My son got the Cubano sandwich - one of his favorites - and he was pleased with it as well. I recommend giving it a try, and I know i"ll be stopping by again!

Stopped in today for a quick dinner, the food is vastly overpriced for small portioned American food. My boyfriend ordered the Mac n cheese with pork confit, it was cold in the middle and was pretty bland. I had the fried green tomato BLT which was pretty good, except that my bread was very soggy and falling apart. We were the only ones inside and out food seemed to take too long (but it may just be our hungry brain). The interior is cute and very cozy, but I'll likely not make a point to come in again.

A neighborhood gem. Eat offers delicious comfort food that's made with thoughtfulness and care. From their soups to their pies and all the entrees in between, I've never been disappointed. Meatball sandwich, pot roast, Sloppy Yusuf, chocolate pudding, Korean BBQ sandwich - all big wins. We also love their take-home frozen TV dinners.

Most of what I have eaten here has been pretty good (eggplant sandwich, roasted veggies, beans & greens w/ pork confit), though fell short of my expectations based rave reviews from other yelpers. The quinoa lentil salad, while undoubtedly nutritious, seemed lacking in the flavor department. The sweet potato salad, on the other hand, was out-of-this-world amazing - some of the most deliciously addicting stuff I've ever tasted. Although it just comes as a side, I could have it for appetizer, entree, and dessert. Probably the main reason I would go back again. Tiny little building; definitely do not plan to dine-in during regular meal times, and it would be wise to call ahead to place your order if you do not want to wait.

Ummm amazing. Hard to not sound like a snobby ex-city foodie but I just have to say: we moved from Washington DC to ann arbor in 2013, and as expected the quality and variety of food in AA can't match the bigger city. However... When we were walking out of eat, I looked at my wife and said "So this is kind of weird but I'm actually having flashbacks to DC with this place" and her response was "I know! Me too!" The quality of the ingredients is the first thing that strikes you. Absolutely delicious. I tried the eggplant parm and while I'm sure the pasta wasn't homemade (I wish it were...), the taste was great with their duality of cheeses and non-mushy eggplant. My second visit I tried the meatball sandwich which was also very well executed. The meat was seasoned well to make it more than just spherical beef, and while lighter than the eggplant parm dish, that's pretty expected for a sandwich v. an entree selection. Not much room to eat in, 1 booth that can squeeze 6 people, and then about 4 stools at the window counter to eat at. This place is meant for carry out. Just a warning, this is carry out food that's meant to be on par with actual restaurants, so the prices are what you might pay at a sit down place downtown. The only sticker shock worth mentioning is the Mac and Cheese side. It's actually a kid's mac and cheese, but for $5 you get about 5 forkfuls. Absolutely don't recommend for that price as it's not like it's the best I've ever had. For about the same price or a little less we got sweet potato fries which were cooked perfectly with a little charred skin. Delicious and far more generous portioning. Probably too pricey to make a weekly event, but we'll be making this part of our regular takeout rotation for sure!

I am, with some speed, working my way through their carry-out menu. More than once I have thought that I had found something so good that I should just keep getting that, but I've pressed on. Each time Eat has rewarded me with even more deliciousness. I cannot say enough how much I LOVE this place. It is the absolute best. And their menu is continually getting updated, so there's always new delectables to enjoy. Currently, the deep-fried Brussels sprouts are amazing. Get 'em before their gone!

Take out when you need a great meal. Pasta puttanesca had chunks of luscious bacon to complement the diversity of flavors in this delicious sauce. Lemon risotto had lemon curd flavors to complement the peas, pine nuts, cheese and other ingredients. This is food with complexity and carefully orchestrated fresh ingredients.

Went again recently, every time the food is great. We had the fish tacos, the pork confit fries, cubano sandwich. Loved the pickled jalapeño on the fries and sandwich. They certainly do not skimp on the toppings for both quality and amount.

This was one of the first restaurants I discovered after moving to AA - but continues to be a favorite for a picnic lunch on their patio (on a nice day) or a take-home dinner when I'm feeling lazy. My favorite thing about EAT is that the ingredients and the meals are all FRESH, and mostly local and seasonal as well. The menu items are interesting, pretty healthy, and always yummy. The menu changes seasonally, along with daily/weekly specials. It's a short menu but you're guaranteed to find something you'll like. Plenty of great options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. And, they'll expose you to a variety of not-so-common (i.e. totally underrated) ingredients and food combinations. Some hits: - My boyfriend LOVES the' Sloppy Yousef' (basically a Greek/lamb take on a Sloppy Joe) - My go-to is the roasted veggie salad with a scoop of grilled chicken salad on top. Fresh greens, goat cheese, om-nom-nom-y roasted veggies and tangy house dressing. The chicken salad is a fresher, lighter version of the original - look ma, no mayo! - Friends have raved about the baked mac and cheese - Forget what you know about "potato salad." When they have it, the sweet potato salad will rock your standard salad's face right off. No misses to date, but there are some dishes best suited for lovers of those ingredients - I love the 'beans and greens,' for example, but pickier eaters not so much... Top your meal off with a homemade cookie and a seltzer and you're good to go! Bonus points for: friendly (and funky) staff, as well as compostable cutlery and containers. Watch out: only 1 table and bar seating - you're better off making a picnic out of it or bringing it home.

I've eaten here a total of two times. I've eaten some sort of lamb sloppy joe which was so under seasoned and lackluster I made it only two bites in before throwing in the towel. Second time, a meatball sandwich and their bastardized American attempt at poutine. Sandwich had weird flavors and aftertaste, the poutine I opted to add confit which was drier than Death Valley. Also, all very under seasoned. I do not understand the hype this place gets. It seems to try too hard and falls short of the mark. Steer clear if you like your food seasoned or flavorful.

The food to go is great and the staff is very courteous. Every day there is a menu of food available to order. The coq au vin was awesome. The parking lot is quite small, andThe space inside is a bit cramped with barely any space for 6 stools, so I would just order to go.

We used Eat. catering for an important event. They were sooo good! All of our guests raved about the delicious food. Their prices are extremely affordable compared to other caterers in the area. The food is fresh, unique and tasty. We had a few special requests that weren't on their catering menu and they accommodated us with no problem. They are very kind, and helpful through the whole process. I would definitely hire them again.

One of my biggest regrets is not getting to EAT sooner. I loved the roasted veggie salad w/ chicken salad here SO much. The salad had whole pieces of caramelized shallots that were delish, carrots, other awesome veggies and goat cheese. The chicken salad is mayoless which is great because I think mayo in chicken salad is gross. If I see a coconut macaroon, I need to have it. The world has been infiltrated with french macarons just because they are pretty and meanwhile traditional macaroons get no attention at all (even though they are the best things ever and way more awesome). This macaroon wasn't my favorite but it's literally covered in chocolate so you can't dislike it. And EAT gets bonus points just for offering them. I will definitely try to make it back here to pick up lunch for picnics, etc on warm summer days as often as possible .

Whoa !! The Korean BBQ sandwich is out of this world ! Wish they had more seating but even with one table and a few stools it's great!

You know how they say the small places can be there best? Well this is especially true there. I love the food they have there! I try to stop by whenever I can for a tasty sandwich.

Korean BBQ beef sandwich was phenomenal. I highly recommend it. If you're not in the mood for a sandwich, I had the beef brisket pot roast. It was pricey but very good. It was a large portion- good to share. The rhubarb pie is amazing. We got it to go bc we were too full when we left but it was worth the wait to eat!

Eat is such a fabulously run, local restaurant/catering company. I went here during lunch, and I got the pork confit and it was delectable. I just wish I had realized that it just came with the sandwich, because I would have ordered a side with it as well! Can't wait to try more on the menu!

Very good food, great employee interaction and certainly a hidden gem. I ordered out their spaghetti and meatballs and then saw that they had spaetzel and ordered that as well. It was a pasta overload that lasted for 2 meals but it was so good that I guarantee that I will be back.

Yesterday was my second visit to Eat and it was even better than i remembered.. I live in las vegas and travel to ann arbor once a year. Yesterday we had the apple bacon sandwich which was amazing! And the pork sandwich which was equally as good! Oh and the chocolate macaroons were the best i have ever had! My last visit i had the eggplant sandwich and Tempe sandwich.. I liked the tempe better only because im not an eggplant fan. I cant wait for my next visit!

Although my experiences here have been sporadic and exclusively take out, I would say this has been one of the most reliable carry out restaurants I've been lucky enough to live near. The menu has been different each time I've visited so I'll keep it a bit vague and just say that the food has always been very fresh, simple and well-seasoned, which is an important trio of qualities for me considering I've only had vegetarian entrees here. It isn't even a dietary choice - they just always seem like the most interesting and yummy options on the menu. In case anyone from the restaurant reads this, I thought the grilled caesar salad was incredible and I would love love love if it was offered again. I think the price is certainly fair for the quantity/quality ratio offered here, I've never thought something didn't meet either standard. I also love that the wait time is never outrageous - you can almost always order from here on a whim and you won't sit around hungry for the next hour. In short, I'll continue to eat at Eat and I encourage anyone in my neighborhood to do the same... we're lucky to be living so close to such a yummy little take out joint.
